Enchanted Thorium Set on WRA?
Alpea
[info]truthintheelves

Hey all. I was wondering if there was someone over on Ally-side Wyrmrest (or Horde that wouldn't mind a neutral AH) that has the plans for this set? I've been interested in buying it, and asking around so far as gotten me zilch.

Willing to negotiate on prices if there is one (I have no clue how much it's going for, but imagine it's pricey since the plans are no longer available), and I'll see about farming up the mats. No rush, as the character still needs a few levels to be able to wear it, but I'd love to get my hands on it!

Thanks again, and feel free to take down if this shouldn't be up here, mods. :)

New question--BC Heroics
[info]nyxalinth
Thanks everyone, for the advice for my partner regarding her priest. she found it very helpful :)

Now, we have a question about BC Heroics, and more to the point, how does one do them in Heroic mode when you're too far past the level for the dungeon finder? Are the keys mentioned in WoWiki needed? Does it still require the quest chain for Magister's Terrace Heroic to be done? I tried searching and couldn't find concrete info on either one. Basically, wanting to know if those requirements changed, and, how does one change from Normal to Heroic mode, since we can't use the random dungeon thing for BC heroics on these toons anymore.

I am going to feel really derpy if it was something really easy that my overtired brain overlooked. Thanks in advance.

thanks everyone for your answers!

Needing for Off Spec
[info]noweahsacat
I'm tanking through several HOT dungeons and almost every time, this seems to come up.

As all of my gear is above twilight gear (even my OS gear) I usually just greed or DC for any dropped loot. The last few weeks another issue has been brought to light; others needing for Off spec gear.

An example, the dungeon I just left because of drama-mongering.

We are going along great. We have 3 randoms (including me) and two people in the same guild. One of the two is dangling behind and not really doing much because they are, and I quote, "looking something up" for the active one in the group. We have ok dps, so its not going to kill us if he finishes up with what he is doing then joins us. (P.s. If you are doing something that is going to keep you from actually participating in the dungeon, don't que until you are finished.)

When he is returned, the two are talking in p-chat constantly and both of their dps fails miserably because of it. Oh well, I can get over it. Not the first time it has happened.

Fist boss, down. Easy. Great! lets move on.

Loot roll-
Srength/stam- tank belt
Tank: DE
Healz: Pass
1st dps- Need
2/3d dps- Greed <---from same guild

So obviously the need-ee won. 2/3rd dps begin to flip. They call this dps a bunch of names because the gear he is in is all LFR. He says, "its for my Off spec" And switches his gear set to show everyone that he actually needed that belt for his tank spec. Great! I didn't need it and he did. So he needed it. What they didn't see was that he asked ME if he could need it. I wouldn't have minded anyway but he at least asked the only on in the group who could have used it for any spec.

Meanwhile, the other two are still moaning and complaining making it uber difficult to get up the ramp to get to the queen. They were complaining that he should not have needed it because needing for OS is on the same level as needing it for DE. After some flings of bad language and the healer calling us all f-ing babies (but using the whole word)I was finished.

My entire portion of the matter. "I didn't need it. He needed it for his off spec. So let him need it."

Now that I am out of the dungeon, I would like a little input. Many people have different views on the whole thing but here is mine on the needing side of things.

Need for main spec is always first roll. If you already have something better. Don't need on it. Plain and simple.

Second is need for off spec. A lot of times this becomes an honor system as some people say they need it when they really don't. Or they have an opposite off spec and need it because they can, for the gold. This is where your own conscience comes in. If you lie or are deceitful, the dungeon isn't going anywhere and that loot will drop again, but really....try to be honest.

Third is Disenchants or vendor fodder. Why? Because what are you going to do with it after you DE it? Vendor!!!! SO everyone should get a chance at that gold. Period. End of story.

Transmogrification Tuesday!
Weak
[info]netzgeek
It's Transmogrification Tuesday here at wow_ladies and I'd like to see what outfits everyone has been putting together!

Post pictures/links of your outfits below. Please list the names of the items used and where they were procured to aid the other wow_ladies' members on their own searches!

I recently race changed my mage from a Draenei to a Worgen and have begun the search for the perfect transmog for her. She is currently sporting a black/orange themed outfit, but something about it just doesn't sit very well with me. I love her shoulders--it's the item I used to model the rest of the outfit around--but it is difficult to find a matching robe that complements them. Any suggestions?

[H] Myth (Blade's Edge) - 10 M - 3/8 (H) in DS
[info]studioaddict614

Hi, I'm Towachi. I'm an officer in Myth. A 10M raiding guild that is striving to stay small, have a family-friends atmosphere and puts most of our focus into our raiding team. We have a few social-only guildies, but most of us have a seat on the raid team.

Currently, we're recruiting...
+ A Hunter
+ A Rogue
+ An Ele Shaman
+ A DPS warrior with Tank OS
+ A blood DK with a DPS OS
+ A Holy Paladin with an OS
+ A Healy Priest with a DPS OS

Although, really we'll consider any class right now EXCEPT for druids- we have 3 (tank and 2 heals and all have to DPS often too). So, if this message speaks to you... reach out!

In the last month, our little family was bitten hard by the RL bug (myself included, but I am back in 3 weeks). What once was a full raid team, is now down to 8 regulars and then a handful of our close friends who have been standing in. However, we'd like to be whole again and ideally have 13-14 raiders, because people need to be able to take the occasional week off without breaking the team. We need to be 1 or 2 deep in each class archetype. And you won't just sit out if we have everyone online. We have run weekends where we have 2-3 extras and we just rotate people in and out throughout the evening based on fight comps or who needs what gear.

That said, you can and will probably be sat from time to time. We're looking for team players who aren't going to get mad just sitting in vent for a fight or two. Players who don't get mad when their team mate gets a piece of gear instead of themselves. People who are looking out for the whole group. We're looking for players who want to have fun, but know when it's time to be serious.

At the end of the night, we like logging off knowing we're the bestest gamer friends any one could have!

Everything sound ideal so far? Great. Here's some more things to know:
+ As the title states we are HORDE and on the Blade's Edge server.
+ We raid Saturdays 8:00PM-1:00AM EST and Sundays 7:30PM-11:30PM EST.
+ We tend to be PG-13.
+ We're 3/8 in HEROIC DS 10m.
+ We use a loot council which consists of the officers. (There’s 3 of us.)
+ We provide all food, flasks and money for repairs during raids.
+ We like to run retro dungeons/raids for the chievys.
+ We're couples friendly. We have 3 currently.
+ Our website is http://mythicaldoomsquad.enjin.com.

That's all I can think of for now, but email or in-game message an officer if you are interested. We'll interview you, you can interrogate us too and with the cross-server runs available to us, we can even run a few dungeons/raids together. Especially, if you are thinking of server transferring to join. We want to make sure it's a good fit for both you and the guild before either of us makes the investment.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

UI Mod Monday!
Happy with what you have
[info]frieliegh
Ladies! Before I leave computers behind for the day, I bring you a picture from inside Blizzard just as the Diablo 3 servers went live... ;)
Servers Going Live, We've all been here

I heard several servers ran screaming and had to be hunted down and tranquilized. :D

Okay, seriously... It's Monday, and you all know the drill by now. UIs! Questions? Comments? Screenshots? Happy finds? Horror stories? You've got it, bring it on!

Point of curiosity of my own - having recently been reminded how much I rely upon microdeclineduel to keep the asshats out of my face, and how VERY glad I am that "block guild requests" was made part of the default UI... what are YOUR mono-taskers? What are the little addons that do one or maaaaaaybe two things, but their sitting there quietly doing their thing is a real quality of life boost for you?

You ladies were really helpful to me a while back, so my partner (she doesn't use LJ) asked me to ask you guys a question regarding healing in Vortex Pinnacle.

http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/proudmoore/Jahizaa/simple

She said it really strains her healing abilities and she often goes oom. Also, she has trouble staying alive in the lightning (I haven't been in there just yet) so maybe you know what she means. Basically, it keeps killing her in two hits (she doesn't stand in the bad, but I don't know if that issue is applicable here) and it's rough trying to heal everyone through it and keep herself alive too.

She does use Hymn of Hope she said, Binding Heal, and she puts down Lightwells but no one uses them. I pointed her to Noxxic just now. She isn't sure if her gear is an issue (I don't heal, so it's all derp for me).

Any advice? She's normally very good and has little to no trouble with heals. Anyone else have trouble healing this one?

Not to cause problems, only to get answers an opinions.

I have noticed more since I server changed to WRA about 7 months ago, that there are many guilds and individual players that are publicly known as "trouble makers" and are blacklisted from participation with many of other guilds activities.

I understand that the actions of a certain few do not necessarily dictate the attitude of the entirety of the guild. The guilds I have known have not been free of their own trouble makers. Though there are guilds with certain...standards...that most guild would not accept and their members do things (Like ninja-ing things, needless/overbearing harassment of others, ect) that other wise give them a bad reputation with individual guilds and publicly throughout the game.

Through what I have seen, I am happy to see that there is a much larger number of wonderful, kind, fun, and friendly guilds out there than there are not so nice ones, but how do you discern from them before it's too late?

With my guild, so far as I have experienced, we give chances. No one should be judged on the first go around because you never no if it is a secular occasion. We try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but in some cases, every time we have been burnt or mistreated again.

I know this happens all over the game because I have seen it, and heard it from so many others. What I want to know, its it not ok to publicly (as in on here) tell the names of the guilds and their members who have wronged you? Especially if all you want to do it save someone else the trouble of dealing with them?

It may sound harsh but I do think that if someone gives themselves a bad name in game, that people should know to avoid them. I have seen many talking about the "name and shame" policy but where is the cutoff on that? Everyone will have a grudge against someone that did something bad to them, but that is no reason to go blacklisting the entire guild.

"My mind is a wretched thing with all its thinking and thinking...."

Edited correct the usage of a word.

Exchanging points?
best friend
[info]fading_stardust
Weren't you able to exchange Valor points for Justice points?
I know I wasn't just imagining this, but I'm looking at the Valor Quartermaster and it's not in his buy list anywhere?
Can someone shed some light on this?

Anyone on Emerald Dream (US-H) that can help with glyphs?
[info]soozquu
I wanted to try out the Emerald Dream (US) server, but wasn't sure if I wanted to spend money to transfer a max level toon yet, so I had a friend send a scroll of rez to an old account I had. Yay for an instant 80!

The problem is, I have 75g to my name. Which is totally fine, I picked up herbalism and mining, so I'll earn gold soon enough. But I feel absolutely naked without my basic glyphs. The prices for them on the ah are just nuts, and way, way out of my range. I am wondering if there is anyone out there who plays on Emerald Dream (horde) and has an inscriptionist who would be willing to make me a few discipline priest glyphs. I will happily farm the herbs for them. If you are able to help, please let me know here, or in game. My newest baby priest is Bellona.

Thanks so much. :-)
